Design Concepts

March 5, 2024

Have you ever had a desire to build a piece of furniture, or casegood, and find yourself overwhelmed with where do I start? For someone who is new to woodworking or even an experienced woodworker, it can be daunting just thinking about all of the steps needed to complete a project.  Before you turn on the saw or drag out a hammer, have you considered your design? What about the style? How do you plan to use it? How will it be constructed? What type of joints will you use? Do I have all the tools I need? Have you considered the finish?  Our challenge during March’s meeting is to help you remove the clutter and be able to see your finished project while understanding all the small detailed questions BEFORE you leap.
